24 days and counting…

Home again Home again.

That’s right, I’ve returned again to my little home town for a few short weeks. It’s really quite unbelievable that I’m home already, I feel like I just moved back to school for Spring semester! Granted I won’t really be relaxing too much. I’ve got tests to prepare for, packing to do, and video games to defeat! In just 24 days I’ll be 21, and in Pittsburg for a research job. I’m nervous about moving to a new city, but that’s not what concerns me the most. Making a good impression on my research mentor and ensuring that i’ll be able to get a good recommendation from him is incredibly important to my grad school career…at least in my opinion. Who knows maybe I’m wrong. I haven’t met a professor yet who doesn’t seem to like me…well maybe a couple, but everyone keeps telling me not to worry about it. You may be wondering what it is i’ll be doing in Pittsburg exactly, and the thing is I don’t really know all the specifics yet. I intend to continue writing after I get there though, so be sure to stay tuned for more info! In a very broad sense I’ll be studying the brain…which is ya know what I do.

I’m incredibly tired and will have all day tomorrow to write, so I think tomorrow’s post will be a good one! Goodbye Spring 2011 semester!

I just got home, and it hasn’t quite hit me yet. I did pull out one of the comp sci books Lang wants me to read, stared at it for a moment, and then went to make a grilled cheese sandwich.

So apparently, not much has changed.
